Confirmation - 2021-22 Online Registration

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is on-going after receiving First Communion. The children must continue to attend Faith Formation every year. Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation begins in January for eighth grade students (Confirmation I) and continues in the fall for ninth grade for students (Confirmation II) enrolled in Catholic School and non-Catholic school students who have attended an approved religious education program with regular attendance for two years prior to the Sacrament. Classes will meet on Sunday mornings from September through May. In addition to regular catechetical classes, candidates are required to attend weekly Sunday Mass and attend a parish sponsored Confirmation retreat.

Families of youth preparing to celebrate a sacrament must be registered and active in the parish community. For the sacraments of Confirmation, the teen must have attended an approved religious education program with regular attendance for two years prior to the Sacrament (at least one year prior and instruction during the year of the sacrament). Instructions in Faith Formation grades 1-8 is a requirement of the Faith Formation Office and instruction in Faith Formation in grades 7 and 8 are mandated by the Diocese. The teen must also be baptized in the Catholic Church and the family must present a Baptismal certificate for the teen preparing for Confirmation. Children or teens who are not baptized or who have not attended a Faith Formation program since First Communion are welcome to prepare for the Sacrament through the Parish Rite of Christian Initiation for Children. Please contact Mr. James Sarkis for more information.
