Inspiring in children a love of singing and a love of the Church’s music.

The Cathedral of St. Patrick offers as one of its ministries a quality choral music program for children in grades 2-8 that is both fun and rewarding.

2ND GRADE CHOIR
The 2nd grade cathedral choir serves as an introduction to basic vocal technique, music theory, and the importance of working together as a musical group. They practice 30 minutes each week. and sing one Sunday a month at the 12:30 pm Mass at St. Patrick’s during the school year and for the annual Cathedral Christmas Concert. There is no cost for this program! Practice times are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday (children choose only one time to attend): Tuesday: 3-3:30 pm, Tuesday 4-4:30 pm, Thursday 3-3:30 pm, Saturday 4-4:30pm.

3RD - 8TH GRADE CHOIR
The 3rd-8th grade choir uses a choir workbook—Voice for Life—and practices an hour weekly. They sing one Sunday a month at the 12:30 pm Mass at St. Patrick’s during the school year and for the annual Cathedral Christmas Concert. The only fee for this program is the workbook— approximately $8. Practice times are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday (children choose only one time to attend): Tuesday: 3-4 pm, Tuesday 4-5pm, Thursday 3-4 pm, Saturday 4-5pm.

In addition, the choir will have full choir practices approximately every 6 weeks on Sunday evenings at 5pm. There will be no Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday practices the week prior to full choir practices, and they are followed by pizza and fellowship at 6 pm. All practices take place in the choir room of the Cathedral's Family Life Center.

The Children's Choir will sing once a month at the 12:30 pm Sunday Mass.
